The Septic Tank Problem

Whilst undertaking building work on an industrial site the top of the septic tank was driven over by an unidentified vehicle. This caused the tank to split and it could not be used. This is a very common problem and usually caused by people unfamiliar to the site or to septic tanks. Driving over septic tanks can be both costly and dangerous, especially in a heavy goods vehicle or with machinery.

The Solution

The damaged area was exposed and the septic tank examined to ensure a repair could be made. The damaged area was cleaned and fibreglass was used to make a permanent repair. Once the fibreglass had hardened and the damaged pipe repaired the area was backfilled and the tank was put back into use.
